Self-use is $0. The idle window earns commission you can spend or, at 5+ subscriptions, withdraw.
Your session always wins. UAN only taps the quota you were going to let evaporate.
OAuth once via Claude. We never see your password.
When you code on UAN, UAN routes through your BYO first — $0 charged.
Flip Contribute on. When your 5-hour window still has quota, UAN taps the rest. You get 25% of every routed user's actual debit.
UAN splits your wallet into three accounts — Balance, Earnings, and Pending. BYO commission always enters through the account your path allows, and never crosses back.
Proxying a Claude Max or Pro subscription requires UAN to hold an Anthropic OAuth token on the server side. This is a necessary permission — and a bounded one. The full architecture lives on /privacy-design.
Each BYO account has a single Contribute switch. Off (default): the account is private — your own requests stay $0 and no one else is ever routed to it. On: the idle window joins the fallback pool, and 25% of every routed user's actual debit lands as commission. No slider, no tiers, no penalties.
Your session continues — no interruption. Fallback usage is charged at your current multiplier from Balance. The statusline tells you which path served the last request.
1–4 subscriptions is BYO. Add a fifth and UAN invites you to complete KYC and become a Provider — same routing, withdrawable earnings. Most BYO users don't upgrade. There's no pressure.
Zero subscriptions? You don't need BYO — just use UAN with a Balance.
Your idle 20 hours aren't free either — they just don't work for you yet.
